Distant Object Productions completes major new patient health DVD
Newbury, UK - March 2009: Distant Object Productions today announced the completion of the DVD "Understanding High Blood Pressure" and the launch of Experts in Health new website.
One in three adults in the UK are affected by High Blood Pressure, a major cause of heart attacks and strokes. Distant Object Productions worked in a strong collaboration with Experts In Health to produce a new groundbreaking patient health education DVD. Featuring a 70 minute documentary covering all aspected of High Blood Pressure, the DVD also contains a short introductory drama featuring Bruce Bryon (The Bill), a section for different ethnic and groups requiring special consideration as well as an indepth "Doctor's Cut" outlining the guidelines used by healthcare professionals in diagnosing and treating the condition.
Preliminary results from a patient survey suggest that as many as 85% of people who watched the DVD changed at least one aspect of their lifestyle.
Distant Object Productions also helped co-ordinate the branding and web site production both beautifully executed by Cogent Design Ltd. The web site contains detailed articles by Dr Henry White on High Blood Pressure with illustrative slides and video clips from the DVD 'Understanding High Blood Pressure'.
The DVD is available for purchase from the web site and has been endorsed by the World Hypertension League, the British Primary Care Cardiovascular Society, the British Hypertension Society and Diabetes UK.
